The aim of the School is to contribute to the professional training, scientific and human development of future engineers. Since its creation in the spring of 1961, it has maintained a balance between teaching, research and service to society, making these activities complement each other.
It currently has two sites campus: the older site, located at the university campus in the Ibaeta district, is made up of the laboratory buildings, the teaching and representation building completed in 1989, and a multipurpose building erected in 1996. The other site is located in the Miramon Technology Park and includes classrooms and research laboratories in the areas of Electricity, Electronics and Communications.
TECNUN, the Engineering School of the University of Navarra, through the Industrial Management Department, seeks to fill a tenured professor position as part of its academic staff in the field of Data Analytics & Machine Learning applied to industrial management, to begin in January 2026.
As a member of the academic staff, the candidate will contribute to the University of Navarra’s three core tasks: research, education, and management. Thus, his/her role will consist primarily of academic research (50%), lecturing (40%), and services and management (10%).
With the support of the existing academic staff, successful candidates will be expected to teach both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the areas of data analytics, statistics, and machine learning. In addition to teaching responsibilities, candidates will actively contribute to the management and proper functioning of the department. They should demonstrate a strong research profile by publishing high-quality papers in reputable, indexed journals and show initiative in securing research funding through the development and submission of project proposals. Furthermore, candidates are expected to provide leadership and maintain academic rigor in the development of research projects.
