La Universidad de Navarra (UNAV) es una universidad privada sin ánimo de lucro fundada en 1952 con sede en Pamplona, España. La UNAV cuenta con más de 13 500 estudiantes en siete campus: Pamplona, San Sebastián, Madrid, Barcelona, Nueva York, Múnich y São Paulo, y con una amplia red de universidades y centros de investigación internacionales.

 

Job description

The University of Navarra (UNAV) is a non-profit private university founded in 1952 based in Pamplona, Spain. It confers 37 official degrees (14 are double degree) and administers 43 master’s programs, including 19 doctoral programs, through 16 faculties and Schools, 2 superior colleges, the IESE Business School and its 5 comprehensive Research Centres.

UNAV has more than 13.500 students in 7 campuses: Pamplona, San Sebastian, Madrid, Barcelona, New York, Munich and Saö Paulo with a wide network of international universities and research centres.

UNAV been awarded with the HR Excellence in Research quality seal (HRS4R) that guarantees the implementation of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. 

The purpose of these grants is to promote the consolidation of the professional careers of national and foreign researchers, so that they can develop their careers within the Spanish Science.

 

We are seeking outstanding candidates in:

  • Nutrition and Health, specifically with the problems of obesity:
    Bioactive compounds, food development, microbiota, personalised nutrition, health biomarkers, eating behaviour, obesity and cancer, molecular metabolism, cohort study.
  • Biodiversity and environment:Biodiversity and natural wealth, Enviromental quality and health, Sustainable Agriculture and agroecology and Sustainability and economics circular.
  • Culture and society:Coexistence in a pluralistic world, legacies for the future, care of the person, links and development human, technology and creativity
  • Data Science and artificial intelligence:Scientist of data, lead data scientist and artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Economics and business management.
  • Architecture.

 

Requirements

The University is seeking established and talented research candidates of recognized  international standing.

 

Eligibility: PhD completed Between Jan 2015-Dec 2023

 

Experience and Additional Skills:

Scientific and technical contributions: 

  • Relevance and quality of scientific publications (journals, books, chapters).
  • Patents granted or licensed.
  • Participation in conferences, awards and distinctions.
  • Outreach, innovation and collaboration activities with the private sector.
  • Training, management and other relevant contributions to research.

Mobility and internationalization:

  • Stays at prestigious national and international centres.
  • Participation in international projects.
  • Results obtained during the postdoctoral period.
  • International collaborations in publications, patents or projects.

Leadership:

  • Research independence: project management as PI.
  • Ability to lead research groups.
  • Attracting national and international funding.
  • Doctoral thesis supervision and relevant scientific experience.
